Patellar Tendonitis Treatment

What is Patellar Tendonitis?

Patellar Tendonitis, also known as Jumper’s Knee, is inflammation of the tendon that connects your kneecap (patella) to the shinbone (tibia). This common overuse injury is typically caused by repetitive motion stresses that lead to irritation in the connective tissue around the knee, causing knee pain.

Signs & Symptoms of Patellar Tendonitis

Pain or discomfort below the knee is most commonly felt with repetitive flexion or extension of the knee. Initially, this discomfort may only be felt during physical activity like running, jumping, and squatting. Left untreated, the condition can worsen and make daily movements such as walking, climbing stairs, and rising from a seat painful or difficult.

Low-Back Pain

Elbow pain can be related to a number of conditions. Elbow tendonitis, or Tennis Elbow, is a common condition caused by inflammation and injury to the tendons. Overuse injuries and repetitive hand, wrist, or arm movements often cause elbow pain.
