Shoulder Issues & Service

SIGNS & SYMPTOMS OF SHOULDER PAIN

Shoulder pain is a common condition we see at Tangelo. The shoulder is the most mobile joint in the body and is designed to substitute stability for mobility. Therefore, it’s crucial that proper shoulder position and strength is maintained in all ranges of motion. Without it, pain can develop in and around the joint that can lead to weakness, limited use, and reinjury.

WHAT CAN CAUSES SHOULDER PAIN?

Shoulder pain can be caused by many factors, including dislocation, falling, overuse, and faulty movement patterns.

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH SHOULDER ISSUES

  • Shoulder impingement
  • Shoulder bursitis
  • Rotator cuff strain
  • Labrum tear

SHOULDER PAIN SERVICE AT Tangelo

At Tangelo, we don’t just focus on the obvious symptom. We also look for passive and active movement breakdowns and weakness in your mid-back, arms, and core to see what contributed to the condition. We’ll take you through an extensive assessment to look at your body mechanics and to make sure that once you get out of pain, you stay out of pain. From your assessment, we’ll create a customized plan for you that involves a blend of advanced, manual therapy and progressive, functional rehabilitation.

Testimonials

What some of our clients have to say

I hurt my shoulder in the beginning of last year and found out I had calcific tendonitis. I had a lot of pain and restricted movement and couldn't do most CrossFit workouts.

Dr. Greg did a great job diagnosing and explaining the problem. He worked out where exactly my movement was restricted and what we needed to work on. Jason and Sarah were great at providing exercises that both rehabbed my shoulder and corrected my movement.

Now I'm pain free and have much better mobility. I've been able to do all the exercises that would be painful before. I'm so glad I found this place!

Mark Z.

After shoulder surgery, my doctor recommended Tangelo Manual Therapy and Movement for my rehab and I'm so glad he did.

As a strong and active person, being laid up after surgery was incredibly stressful and frustrating for me, and Dr. Paul Molina and Geneva got me back to doing what I love and kept me smiling and committed to the work of getting better the whole time.

Other common conditions

Low-Back Pain

Lower back pain and low back issues can occur suddenly, or can develop slowly over time. Chronic pain in the low back can result from disc injuries such as herniations or ruptures, joint problems, and irritated or inflamed nerves.

Knee Pain

Knee pain can result from acute injuries, muscle imbalance, and repetitive-use injuries. Common conditions include Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome, and IT band syndrome. Knee pain can be a symptom of related issues in the hips and ankles.

Foot & Ankle Pain

Conditions in the lower leg, foot and ankle include acute injuries such as sprains and strains, as well as chronic conditions such as plantar fasciitis and shin splints.

Neck Pain

The muscle and ligaments of the neck connect the head, shoulders and back. Neck pain can result from poor posture, muscle imbalance, and injury. Often, neck pain is related to other interconnected muscle groups.

Elbow Pain

Elbow pain can be related to a number of conditions. Elbow tendonitis, or Tennis Elbow, is a common condition caused by inflammation and injury to the tendons. Overuse injuries and repetitive hand, wrist, or arm movements often cause elbow pain.

Tangelo treats conditions involving the body’s muscular and skeletal systems. Our hybrid approach was created to treat muscle, soft tissue, bone and joint conditions.

We provide service for muscle sprains and strains, repetitive-stress injuries, athletic injuries, acute injuries and chronic conditions.
