Foot and Ankle Pain Therapy

WHAT ARE SOME SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF FOOT PAIN & ANKLE PAIN?

One of the most common issues we address is foot pain. Did you know that 25 percent of the bones in our body reside in our feet? The foot and ankle must have the right balance of stability and mobility to function well. Without it, pain can build up in the heel, arch, and around the ankle and also lead to tightness in the calves, hamstrings, and shins.

WHAT CAN CAUSE FOOT AND ANKLE PAIN

Foot and ankle pain can be caused by many factors, including trauma, landing improperly, faulty movement patterns over time, and previous injury.

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS CAUSING FOOT AND ANKLE PAIN

  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Achilles tendonitis
  • Shin splints
  • Ankle sprains
  • Bunions

FOOT AND ANKLE PAIN SERVICE AT Tangelo

At Tangelo, we don’t just look at the pain site – we work with you to find the pain source. We look for movement breakdowns and weakness in your ankle, feet, knees, and hips to see what contributed to the condition. We’ll take you through an extensive assessment to look at your body mechanics and to make sure that once you get out of pain, you stay out of pain. From your assessment, we’ll create a customized plan for you that involves a blend of advanced, manual therapy and progressive, functional rehabilitation.

Testimonials

What some of our clients have to say

I injured my foot a year ago running on a trail and had to stop running. Eventually, my ankle got so bad that I couldn't even walk to the bus in the morning to go to work. This is when I decided to go into Tangelo. I'm actually really glad that I got injured because not only did they help me with my injury, but basic balance and strength training as a whole. After a few weeks, I was even able to run again!

I haven't felt this good in years and I highly recommend anyone with an injury check it out, they'll blow you away.

Will B.

My story starts 4 years ago when I had posterior tibial tendinitis that plagued me for 3 years. I had 3 cortisone shots in my ankle, multiple rounds of PT and in/out of a boot for months. Not to fault the 3 different doctors I saw, but they they were all treating the symptoms of the ankle.

It wasn't until I visited Dr. Kaylie at Tangelo did she sought out what was actually causing the tendinitis through a whole-body analysis. I've not only been able to get back into running, but I'm just a few weeks away from my first ever marathon.

Dr. Kaylie is my "Miracle Worker" and I'm forever grateful.

Other common conditions

Low-Back Pain

Lower back pain and low back issues can occur suddenly, or can develop slowly over time. Chronic pain in the low back can result from disc injuries such as herniations or ruptures, joint problems, and irritated or inflamed nerves.

Shoulder Pain

Shoulders conditions we treat include acute injuries such as rotator cuff tears and sprains, as well as chronic pain resulting from impingements, tendonitis and arthritis.

Knee Pain

Knee pain can result from acute injuries, muscle imbalance, and repetitive-use injuries. Common conditions include Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome, and IT band syndrome. Knee pain can be a symptom of related issues in the hips and ankles.

Neck Pain

The muscle and ligaments of the neck connect the head, shoulders and back. Neck pain can result from poor posture, muscle imbalance, and injury. Often, neck pain is related to other interconnected muscle groups.

Elbow Pain

Elbow pain can be related to a number of conditions. Elbow tendonitis, or Tennis Elbow, is a common condition caused by inflammation and injury to the tendons. Overuse injuries and repetitive hand, wrist, or arm movements often cause elbow pain.

Tangelo treats conditions involving the body’s muscular and skeletal systems. Our hybrid approach was created to treat muscle, soft tissue, bone and joint conditions.

We provide service for muscle sprains and strains, repetitive-stress injuries, athletic injuries, acute injuries and chronic conditions.
