Dr. Joe Farris, a native of Shinnston, West Virginia, is a sports chiropractor. After earning a bachelor’s degree at West Virginia Wesleyan College in exercise science, he attended New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) where he earned his doctorate of chiropractic. While at NYCC, Dr. Farris served as Vice President of the Rehabilitation to Performance club. In addition to the required clinical services at NYCC, he gained additional sports chiropractic experience while treating athletes of the Elmira Pioneers baseball team and runners of the Montezuma half marathon. With these experiences and lifelong history as an athlete, he is passionate about treating athletes of all walks and backgrounds.
Dr. Farris utilizes Functional Range Release (FRⓇ), Fascial Movement Taping (FMT) via RockTape, and chiropractic adjustments. Whether a marathoner, rock climber, avid CrossFitter, or a weekend warrior, he strives to treat the patient as a whole and not hone in on symptoms. Dr. Joe aims to remedy dysfunction above all and educate all of his patients on proper biomechanics to achieve their goals as quickly as possible.
Dr. Joe is ecstatic about relocating to the Pacific Northwest. In his spare time, you can catch him on the trails, attempting to solve bouldering problems, pulling some plastic at the local climbing gyms, slacklining at Golden Gardens, and enjoying many a donut.
